I wonder if, after two years of indiscriminate siege against the people of Palestine, it is really true that the genocide has ended. I can imagine the joy of Palestinians upon hearing that the attacks against them by the army of the murderous State of Israel have stopped. Hope is the driving force that sustains the strength and resilience of a people who have endured and continue to endure the worst horrors humanity is capable of inflicting.
There are many reasons to distrust that Israel truly intends to stop the destruction of Gaza. In fact, despite the ceasefire agreement brokered a few days ago by the governments of the United States and Israel —devoid of any genuine interest for the Palestinian people, except for sparing their lives— Israel has continued attacking and killing Palestinians.
I have the impression that this is a strategic move by the genocidal partners, aimed at cooling down civil society mobilizations around the world.
Everyone wants this to end now. People are tired of seeing children torn apart by bombs and shot in the head, day after day. It’s easy for us to become complacent and fall into the manipulation of unscrupulous criminals.
Israel continues to ban the entry of foreign journalists, while its Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, publicly shows videos from its prisons depicting the torture of Palestinians. The blatant lack of humanity of the Israeli nation is so evident that it exposes the moral deficiencies of the rest of the world’s nations. It’s disgusting.
On October 15, a general strike took place in Spain. I was present at the demonstrations in Barcelona, which had a good turnout. Still, it’s never enough. Many citizens were unaware of this call to denounce the impunity of the genocidal State of Israel and the complicity of Europe. Others believe there’s no point in taking to the streets. Yet the truth is that maintaining mobilizations and boycotts against the entities complicit in this crime against Palestinians and against humanity are the tools we have to pressure society and governments.

The Barcelona demonstration ended in front of the Israeli consulate. The police awaited the arrival of protesters to confront them and prevent them from getting close. There were some clashes that resulted in several burnt containers and about fifteen arrests.
It saddens me that people who have never spoken out about the thousands of Palestinians murdered by Israel complained about a few burnt containers. I can't believe it!

Since October 12, when the so-called peace treaty was signed in Egypt —in which Israel was supposedly to stop its attacks against the population of Gaza—, we’ve witnessed a shameful scene in which European politicians staged a pathetic act of bootlicking Trump and Netanyahu, who are nothing less than representatives of a gang of genocidal criminals. A nightmare.
Since the signing of that so-called peace agreement, Israel, as expected, has not ceased its indiscriminate attacks against the population of Gaza, and attacks in the West Bank have even increased.
I can’t stop thinking about all this. I can’t, and I won’t, abandon my thoughts toward the Palestinians. I cannot turn my back on a painful reality that reveals the moral poverty of our societies and our human neglect. Does the same thing happen to you?
